As a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Bill's family began vacationing in Summit County in the 1950s and he grew up skiing Arapahoe Basin, Loveland, Breckenridge, and Vail. He moved to Summit County in 1970 to be a Professional Ski Patrolman at Keystone and Arapahoe Basin. Namesake Keystone ski runs are: Bergman Bowl and Bergy's Glade. Bill began his Real Estate career in 1973 as a member of Keystone's sales force selling the Flying Dutchman and Plaza Condominiums during the time the Keystone Lodge and the Lake were being built. He left Keystone to earn a Finance degree and an MBA from the University of Denver (DU). Bill has been active in Colorado and nationally as a developer, investor and a Real Estate consultant for over 35 years. He has successfully owned and developed resorts, condominiums, industrial and retail centers, and has subdivided over 1,000 residential lots. Consulting clients have included the Anschutz and MacMillan (Cargill) family members.
